This first day introduces you to Kenya’s rugged wilderness with elephants, lions, buffaloes, and stunning hilly landscapes. Your afternoon game drive in Taita Hills offers an excellent first wildlife experience.

Travel to Amboseli and enjoy an afternoon game drive.
Amboseli’s open plains and wetlands create ideal wildlife conditions, while Mount Kilimanjaro dominates the skyline. Expect close elephant encounters and incredible photography opportunities.
Overnight: Oilepo Amboseli or Kibo Safari Camp
After breakfast, travel to Tsavo East.
The park’s red earth creates the iconic red-coated elephants that Tsavo is famous for. Afternoon game drives offer excellent chances to see lions, giraffes, zebras, cheetahs, and the Galana River ecosystem.
Overnight: Sentrim Tsavo Lodge or Manyatta Camp
Spend the entire day exploring Tsavo East’s vast wilderness.
Its varied landscapes, rich birdlife, and unique wildlife make this one of Kenya’s most underrated safari destinations. Full-day game drives increase your chances for predator sightings and rare species like gerenuks and Somali ostrich.

After breakfast, return to the coast as your safari comes to an end.
Though shorter in length, this journey offers an incredible variety of landscapes and wildlife experiences.
Tsavo West is one of Kenya’s most diverse and dramatic national parks, known for its volcanic landscapes, lava fields, rolling hills, and natural springs. Amboseli National Park is one of Kenya’s most iconic safari destinations and world-famous for its breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain. The park is especially known for its massive elephant herds, often seen walking across the dusty plains with Kilimanjaro rising in the background — one of the most photographed safari scenes in Africa. Beyond elephants, Amboseli is home to lions, cheetahs, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, giraffes, hyenas, and over 400 bird species. Its permanent swamps create a year-round water source, making wildlife viewing exceptional throughout the year.
Tsavo East is one of Kenya’s wildest and most legendary parks, famous for its red-dust elephants, vast savannah plains, and untamed beauty. Its open landscapes make wildlife viewing especially rewarding, with regular sightings of lions, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and elephants. The park is also home to rare species like the hirola antelope, gerenuk, and Somali ostrich, making it particularly exciting for experienced safari travelers. The Galana River cuts through the park and attracts crocodiles, hippos, and countless animals coming to drink, creating some of Tsavo’s most dramatic safari moments.
