7 Days / 6 Nights
Ol Pejeta • Lake Naivasha • Masai Mara

Safari Overview

This 7-day safari is ideal for travelers looking for a shorter but premium safari experience. It combines conservation-focused wildlife experiences, scenic Rift Valley landscapes, and one of Africa’s most famous wildlife reserves — all in one seamless adventure.

Day 1

Nairobi to Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Your safari begins in Nairobi, where you meet your guide before heading north into the beautiful highlands of Laikipia.

Your destination is the world-famous Ol Pejeta Conservancy, one of Kenya’s most important wildlife conservation areas. Located on vast high-altitude plains with Mount Kenya in the distance, Ol Pejeta is home to the Big Five and one of the largest rhino sanctuaries in East Africa.

After settling into camp, head out on your first afternoon game drive. Expect your first close encounters with elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and possibly lions or cheetahs. Ol Pejeta also offers the rare chance to see the world’s last two northern white rhinos.

Overnight: Sweetwaters Serena Camp or Pelican House

Day 2

Full Day in Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Wake up early for a morning game drive — one of the best times to explore the conservancy while predators are still active.

Ol Pejeta is not only famous for rhino conservation but also for its chimpanzee sanctuary, the only place in Kenya where rescued chimpanzees can be visited.

Throughout the day, your safari continues through open savannah and woodland, where hyenas, lions, cheetahs, elephants, and countless antelope species roam freely.

In the evening, enjoy the special atmosphere of Sweetwaters Serena Camp, where wildlife often visits the camp’s waterhole even after dark.

Overnight: Sweetwaters Serena Camp or Pelican House

Day 3

Lake Naivasha Escape

After breakfast, leave the highlands behind and travel into Kenya’s Great Rift Valley toward Lake Naivasha.

This freshwater lake offers a peaceful contrast to the previous safari days. Surrounded by green acacia forests and rich birdlife, Naivasha is home to hippos, zebras, giraffes, and waterbuck.

After arriving at your lodge, enjoy a relaxing afternoon in this scenic lakeside setting. Optional activities such as boat rides or guided walks can make the experience even more special.

The calm beauty of Naivasha creates the perfect balance between adventure and relaxation.

Overnight: Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge

Day 4

Into the Legendary Maasai Mara

Today you travel to the crown jewel of Kenya’s safari destinations — the Maasai Mara.

The journey takes you through rolling hills and vast open landscapes before arriving at your luxury tented camp near the reserve. After check-in and lunch, your first afternoon game drive begins.

The Maasai Mara is famous for its incredible wildlife density. Lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, and wildebeests are all commonly seen here.

Your first sunset over the Mara plains is a moment you will never forget.

Overnight: Basecamp Masai Mara

Day 5

Full Day Safari in Maasai Mara

Spend the day exploring the endless golden plains of the Maasai Mara.

This reserve is one of the best places in Africa for predator sightings. Lions are abundant, cheetahs are often seen scanning the plains, and leopards hide in the acacia trees.

Large herds of wildebeests, zebras, impalas, and buffaloes create endless wildlife action throughout the day.

With over 500 recorded bird species, even bird lovers will be amazed.

Overnight: Basecamp Masai Mara

Day 6

Final Full Day in Maasai Mara

Your final full safari day gives you one more opportunity to fully immerse yourself in one of Africa’s most spectacular ecosystems.

Morning and afternoon game drives offer the best chance to experience the full spectrum of wildlife — from elephants and giraffes to predators like lions, and with a bit of luck even elusive hunters such as servals or caracals.

Depending on the season, this is also where you may witness the Great Migration — one of the most extraordinary wildlife events on earth.

Every drive in the Mara feels completely different, which makes this final full day especially exciting.

Overnight: Basecamp Masai Mara

Day 7

Return to Nairobi

After breakfast, it’s time to leave the wilderness behind and travel back to Nairobi.

Although the safari comes to an end, the memories of rhino encounters, peaceful lake views, and thrilling game drives in the Masai Mara will stay with you forever.

National Parks

Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Ol Pejeta is one of Kenya’s most important conservation areas and a sanctuary for endangered rhinos. It offers excellent Big Five sightings, the largest black rhino population in East Africa, and is home to the world’s last northern white rhinos. Visitors can also explore the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary, making it one of Kenya’s most unique safari experiences.

Lake Naivasha

Lake Naivasha is one of the most beautiful freshwater lakes in Kenya’s Great Rift Valley and offers a completely different safari atmosphere. Surrounded by acacia forests and lush vegetation, it is famous for its hippo population and incredible birdlife, including fish eagles, pelicans, and kingfishers. The lake provides unique activities such as boat safaris and guided walking safaris on Crescent Island, where visitors can walk safely among giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and antelope. It’s one of Kenya’s most peaceful and scenic safari destinations.

Masai Mara National Reserve

The Masai Mara is Kenya’s most famous safari destination and one of the best wildlife reserves in the world. Its endless golden plains are home to extraordinary wildlife densities, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, and countless antelope species. Between July and October, the reserve hosts the Great Migration, when millions of wildebeests and zebras cross from the Serengeti into the Mara — one of the greatest natural spectacles on earth. The Mara is also a paradise for photographers and anyone dreaming of the ultimate African safari.
